GR Associate Visitor Course 3-11-2017

The ACA Associate Visitor Course provides training to individuals who wish to volunteer to conduct accreditation visits. Participants will learn the roles and responsibilities of a visitor, including legal implications of visitor actions; develop information-gathering skills; and learn to use resources available to make consistent compliance decisions. Participants will also understand the educational value of the accreditation process and become positive representatives and advocates for ACA. There is no charge for this course. Prerequisites: Age 21 or older; current individual ACA membership; submission of Associate Visitor application approved by the ACA local office; completion of current standards course; completion of online course (approx. 2 hours) prior to the in-person course. Additional Information

Participants must complete the online pre-course before arriving at the in-person course. The course will run from 9am-6pm. Overnight lodging is available for participants who need to arrive on Friday before the course. Participants need to bring their own bedding and towels. Breakfast and lunch are provided on Saturday, March 11. Please provide an Emergency Contact and any dietary or other special needs.
